Living with wildlife in Sri Lanka

They are not-quite-fairy-tales: they read like fairy tales, but they were inspired by real encounters with animals in our house in Sri Lanka. A monitor lizard really did jump into the bed, squirrels build nests in lamps and under the cooker, monkeys wander into the kitchen and peacocks into the living room… The animals come closer than we ever imagined.
